Prestashop only manage jpg logo for your store, so you need to change the code in the header.tpl of the theme and upload the logo to images folder. Logo Format is a module that let you upload png, jpg, or gif logo and modify your template to show your logo without knowledge.

Simply upload your logo with the module, select the format and done!!!

*Now can change the logo position in hookTop (modules-> position) and dont need to rewrite header.tpl
